The WU Underground Internship has officially begun! Through the Dr. Mark and Shelly Wilson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the CO-OP Project Success Grant. The 10-week paid internship will give students the opportunity to explore, plan, and implement Phase I of the Wilberforce University Dining Services. The “hands on” experience will offer each student an intense Boot Camp with Faculty and Entrepreneurs, Idea Factory Phase I and II training, Boot Camps from Idea to Implementation, and the opportunity to shadow franchises such as Denny’s Headquarters, The Corp at Georgetown University, The Black Enterprise Summit and many more.

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation was established through a generous gift from alumni Dr. Mark Wilson and his wife Shelly Wilson. Dr. Mark Wilson serves as Chairman of the Wilberforce University Board of Trustees and is the CEO/Founder of Chime Solutions, Inc. The Wilson’s have given their time and talent to Wilberforce University and are the examples of entrepreneurs we seek for our students. The Wilson’s generosity has positioned The Center as a place where ideas of entrepreneurship and innovation become reality.
